11:46am: Just another day... well, not really.
G****e acting in spectacularly Canada-south style, there.
This is the last thing I'll type in this room. This afternoon, I will make another post, from my new studio flat.
Incidentally, I bought the Secret Garden album
Dreamcatcher for £2 from The Uni Dumper on Monday. A fabulous purchase.

4:28pm: This message is being typed from my new flat.
Most of the unpacking has been done. I am close to joyous tears.
I appear to be not only the sole undergraduate in my corridor but the sole person to be born in this country. This is rather interesting.
While I adjust to the inbuilt kitchen, I will probably opt for a takeaway meal tonight, as I will be attending (part of) a local pub gig at 8pm. Why part of? First on the bill is the person I've come to see, a jazz-style pianist/songwriter/singer (in order, starting with the strongest) who happens to be a second-year mathematics student here at the university, and furthermore was central to a collaborative group I had set up for all of a few weeks late last year which I am now intent on reviving.
Still, I'm off to Aldi now... happy tears trying and so far failing to roll down my face.
Mood:
jubilant
