8:07pm: Short update
* The last week wasn't a great one in terms of self-esteem, but I'm much better now.
* I have a MIDI keyboard. Songwriting opportunities ahoy.
* I'm going to be attending a taping of For The Rest Of Your Life on Monday afternoon. It's my first day out on my own of any distance that I can recall, certainly my first in a large city, and in many respects will serve as a test of how far I have come since escaping Fortress Weymouth. Sensory overload is the only risk I can foresee - be it from the frenetic nature of London or the studio's noise and lights. Though I suspect, given that I was able to obtain tickets so easily, the former may not be such a problem, certainly compared to a taping of Noel's £250,000 Gambling Game...
* I'm returning to Fortress Weymouth around March 30 for as little time as I'm allowed to, which should be one week. I'm incredibly surprised at how much they have let go in terms of contact time, but they are micromanaging when they do see me. A smooth transition to total detachment may be feasible in the medium term; the July railway tour could be the trigger.
* I may have a crack at being a contestant on In The Grid. I may be interested in appearing on the impending UK version of Identity; more likely as one of the strangers than as a contestant, as my autistic spectrum disorder makes me both a poor candidate for labelling others and a very good candidate for being labelled.
